Clark Rubber – an Australian retail icon

Sarah Stowe

Clark Rubber is a leader in the foam, rubber and above ground pool retail market. Clark Rubber has over 75 franchise stores throughout Australia. Franchisees have a wealth of support at their fingertips through the experience and knowledge of the national franchise support office team, committed to franchisee success.

The Clark Rubber team recognises that the success of any franchise system very much depends on the success of its franchisees and so provides its franchisees with a toolbox to help them to succeed.

This toolbox includes an in-house graphic design team, local area and national marketing product management, merchandising, IT and finance expertise, training and business coaches and analysts.

Franchising is a win/win principle, combining the drive of an ambitious franchisee with the strength and security of a large group and a nationally recognised, award-winning brand.

At Clark Rubber, we believe franchising provides a new business with a far greater opportunity for long-term success and prosperity than an independent small business.

This is achieved because of:

  • A nationally recognised brand
  • The security of a tried and tested system
  • Access to support from experts in appropriate business fields
  • Group strength in purchasing and marketing
  • Ongoing support

Clark Rubber – our vision

To create a strong best practice and successful franchised retail system recognised for excellence in retailing. To offer people who wish to go into their own business an opportunity to do so under a powerful and easily recognised national brand identity.

Clark Rubber – our mission

To develop and assist franchisees to achieve best practice to reach their full potential to manage and grow a profitable and successful Clark Rubber retail business.

One of the most rewarding things in business is giving individuals a business toolbox and a framework within which they can develop their own business and to help them reach their full potential.

Our brand

Clark Rubber managing director and founder of Clark Rubber Franchising, Chris Malcolm, says “The name of the game is the fame of the name”. Malcolm says Clark Rubber has a very strong brand with a unique, bright colour scheme and look to its businesses.

“We also have a unique business model for our marketing. We spend more than five per cent of our annual turnover on advertising and marketing. This makes us a very strong and aggressive marketer in our niche for the size of business that we are,” Malcolm says.
