Celebrity backed bone health franchise hits Australia

Nick Hall

A new skeletal strength and bone health fitness franchise OsteoStrong is set to enter the Australian market, following a successful run of franchise expansion overseas.

OsteoStrong is a revolutionary wellness system that utilises clinically researched osteopathic technology to help people of all ages and fitness levels improve their bone health, skeletal strength and balance.

After decade-long success in the U.S., the brand now has over 60 centres in its homeland, with more than 100 additional franchises opening shortly.

For Australian consumers, expansion will kick off in November this year, with the opening of the brand’s inaugural master centre in Hawthorn.

Perry Eckart, OsteoStrong Australia and New Zealand managing director said following the Hawthorn opening, the franchise will be turning its focus toward nation-wide growth.

“We will be opening our first master centre and training facility at 85 Riversdale Road in Hawthorn, Melbourne in November this year and then additional master centres in capital cities over the next 12 months starting with Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Wellington,” Eckart said.

The franchise expansion has also been bolstered by the introduction of life and business strategist, Tony Robbins as investor and business development consultant, a partnership which has seen OsteoStrong thrust into the media limelight.

“Partnering with Tony Robbins in early 2017 changed the business strategy and focus entirely,” Eckert said.

“Prior to his involvement the business was primarily catering for the needs-based market, comprising post menopause women with low bone density. With Tony’s business strategy the OsteoStrong market has now expanded to elite athletes and biohackers and the everyday 30 plus time poor convenience market who are highly health and wellness motivated.”

The unique concept is a first for Australia, with Eckert stating the response from potential franchisees and consumers has been overwhelmingly positive.

‘People get the concept very quickly, can see the business potential and understand that this is an opportunity to help thousands of people,” Eckert said.

“So far, we have only presented at three events this year – Tony Robbins “Date With Destiny” seminar in Cairns and the Brisbane and Melbourne Franchise Expos. We have about 45 franchise enquiries from the two expos and 38 from the Tony event.  Already we have more than 10 confirmed franchise applicants that will be opening in the first half of 2019.”

While interest is high, Eckert believes the slow growth and calculated approach adopted by OsteoStrong oversea is critical to the brand’s network success.

“Our plan is to only sell 30 franchises in the next 12 months to ensure that the training and operation of each centre is world class and consistent with the OsteoStrong brand and culture.”

OsteoStrong founder and CEO Kyle Zagrodzky will be presenting at Tony Robbins’ Unleash the Power Within tour in Sydney on Sunday, September 16.
