Director Dean Salomone says "Our 2016 target of opening five new Rozzi's stores is on track and we expect to make further announcements of additional sites as we finalise lease negotiations on other locations in Victoria and Queensland over the coming months."

Two new stores (Stockland Rockhampton Qld  and Swanston Street, Melbourne) willl be open and serving their real Italian fare by August of 2016, Salomone says.

The business is also seeking master franchise operators in NSW.

What is the best reason to invest in a casual dining franchise?

The casual dining scene is experiencing significant growth as consumers embrace high quality food without the necessary restaurant prices and our franchise operators have an ability to control their labour costs more effectively than restaurant operators

What are the costs of investing in your franchise?

The turnkey cost ranges from $450,000 to $650,000 (dependent on the site) and this includes a franchise fee of $40,000. Ongoing fees include the franchise royalty which is six percent of gross weekly sales and the marketing fee of two percent of gross weekly sales.

Documentation costs are approximately $1500 for greenfield locations (included in the turnkey costs for greenfield sites) to $2500 for existing sites.

What deposit is required?

The deposit required is the $40,000 franchise fee.

How long is training?

Four weeks

Where is training conducted?

Training is held at a both Rozzi’s corporate stores and franchise outlets.

Is the franchise term aligned to the lease?

Absolutely it is.

What help do you offer franchisees in locating sites?

Rozzi’s does all the work and research in locating sites

Do you negotiate rents with the landlord?

Yes, Rozzi’s does all the negotiation in regards to all aspects of the commercial terms of the lease.

Who holds the head lease?

Rozzi’s holds the head lease.

What’s the typical size of an outlet?

It can range from 130sqm to 300sqm.

How many staff are typically required in each unit?

Between 15 and 25, depending on size of the premises.

What same year sales growth have you seen last financial year?

About 15 percent.
