Café 2U now servicing Bendigo’s work force

New franchisee Tim Morgan couldn’t resist opening a new CafŽ 2U franchise when he moved from Perth to Bendigo. Having managed wine brands in the corporate and retail sector, he decided to turn his hand to hot drinks.

CafŽ 2U has experienced a 20 per cent growth rate in the last six months, with 120 franchises worldwide, so Morgan may not get the quieter life he had hoped for. “Switching from wine to coffee may not necessarily mean slowing down,” he laughed. So far Morgan and his wife Kimberley have serviced the Bendigo Canoe Club at Bridgewater, the Regional Zone Carnival of Little Athletics, and have bookings for Relay Life events.

Wife Kimberley said of the change in career, “It suits our lifestyle perfectly as the hours are obviously so flexible, particularly for those with families. We really look forward to supporting the local community and being an active participant in local charity and fundraising events.”
