Beacon Lighting lights up half year results

Sarah Stowe

Beacon Lighting has announced a net profit of $11.1m for the 26 weeks leading up to the 27th December 2015, an increase of 22.1 percent from the previous year.

The lighting franchise reports growth was driven by “innovative new products, effective price management and a favourable foreign exchange position.”

According to Inside Retail, continued reinvestment in the company, expansion, franchised store acquisitions and major IT projects, has helped maintain ‘a strong cash position’ and consistent balance sheet.

Two Victorian stores, Watergardens Homemaker Centre and Essendon Homemaker Hub, have been run as company owned businesses since 28 September 2015.

Beacon Lighting’s first franchise store opened in 1989, and now has fourteen franchise-owned stores across Australia.
