Baskin-Robbins has appointed Carol Lacey as its new national supply chain manager.

Lacey was most recently employed as distribution and operations manager at Nestle Australia, and she brings over 15 years of supply chain experience to the new role.

Her prior experience covers retail, independents, wholesalers and distributors within both the food and beverage sectors.

Baskin-Robbins’ general manager, David Jordan said Lacey’s role is critical for the business, given its stores are located across Australia.

“Carol will play a key role in Baskin-Robbins strategic growth by effectively managing our supply chain across the country in order to meet the demand for our premium, quality ice cream and desserts.

“Carol’s immediate focus will be to ensure our supply chain and 3PL partners are ready to meet the strong sales growth we anticipate over the spring and summer periods. I also look forward to the contribution Carol will make through delivering a more cost effective COG (Cost of Goods) model for our franchise partners ensuring them greater returns,” he added.

“We have great confidence that Carols experience will place Baskin Robbins in a strong position to add further value to our expanding network.”

Baskin-Robbins is looking to expand its network by more than 25 percent over the next three years, and just last month it opened three new concept stores, with more to come.

“We are very excited about the design and feedback from guests of our new concept stores. We are looking forward to opening a further 6 of these new concept stores before the end of this year,” says Jordan.
