Franchisees Carl Travers and Steven Decent own eight Anytime Fitness gyms and have just invested in a two month, $1 million refurbishment of the Sydney City venue.

When it opened more than five years ago it was one of the first Anytime Fitness gyms in Australia. Today’s refurbishment is in line with the constant improvements and advancements made by the brand to ensure it offers its members the best in fitness.

Carl Travers says “Steven and I purchased a tired gym which was losing money. We looked past the club appearance, and financial figures, and saw great potential and we took a massive chance at the time. Our first step was to get the trust back in our members as member feedback was not listened too previously.

“Now the ultimate gift back to our members is this major refurbishment, and we are extremely proud that we can give our faithful members the best gym Anytime Fitness has to offer.”

Anytime Fitness Australia co-founder Justin McDonell says “When designing and refitting our clubs, we look at what our members will want and the services they will expect. We have world class equipment, a functional layout, online health resources, clean bathrooms, top of the range security systems, and knowledgeable staff who take an interest in all their members.

“The new Sydney City gym is the perfect example of our commitment to reinvest in our brand and keep it fresh in each club.”
