A winning formula in franchising

Sarah Stowe

Are you looking for a franchise that supports people in your community? Are you interested in helping people live more independently and enjoy a better quality of life?

The community care industry is undergoing significant change with aged care funding for consumers moving to consumer directed care (CDC) in February 2017. The sector is becoming more consumer-oriented, enabling individuals to choose the care that is right for them. For many people remaining at home with in-home care is the preferred choice. A franchised in-home care model is an optimal way to match your desire to care with a proven business system within this dynamic industry.

Award-winning Just Better Care ‘Franchise of the Year’ owner, Tony Sandy understands this well.

Six years ago, Sandy traded life as an electrician to work in community care – first as a support worker and then as a franchise owner with Just Better Care.

“I started out working with people who had brain injuries and found caring for others so much more rewarding then anything I’d done before,” he explained.

“I felt I was making a huge difference to someone else’s life. It’s certainly more than just a job.”

When he spotted an opportunity to purchase a Just Better Care franchise, Sandy jumped at the chance. “It was the opportunity to support many more people that I could ever do alone.”

And he never looked back. With a franchise, his dream of owning a community care business was fast-tracked. Sandy received proven systems, processes, marketing and back end office support, so he could focus on the needs of his customers and staff.

Over three years, Sandy has worked incredibly hard to respond to customers and provide consistently high-quality service. He has built strong relationships in the community, giving back in many ways.

Sandy is excited to see the reforms to aged care, as it will ensure greater choice and control for the elderly.

“Our clients are elderly or have a disability, and we absolutely love supporting them to remain independent at home and connected into our great community,” he said.

“We provide support 24 hours a day; seven days a week and we take a personal approach in our service. Our customers know they can call anytime and discuss their needs,” added Sandy.
