ZEN Home Energy Systems announces launch of retail renewable energy franchises
In a new development for the South Australian solar energy company, ZEN Home Energy Systems has announced the launch of two new retail renewable energy franchises, at Westfield Marion and Gepps X Centre.
Intended to make it easier for customers to access information and advice, the new retail locations have been met with an overwhelmingly positive response from the public, demonstrating that solar power is now part of mainstream thinking when it comes to home renovations, says ZEN CEO Richard Turner.
“We believed the market was ready for this kind of offering and the results are a strong indication that they are,” he explains.
The retail sustainable energy franchises are already outperforming sales forecasts, prompting ZEN Home Energy Systems to look towards further expansion within the year.
At least six new jobs are created with the launch of each store, and ZEN plans to open another twelve locations nationally over the next twelve months.
A retail store in Albury is already operational, and the first Western Australian sustainable energy franchise, located in Subiaco, is set to open in February.
Recently named 2010 Australian Entrepreneur of the Year in the Cleantech category, Richard believes ZEN’s expansion into retail renewable energy franchises is a result of more Australians wanting to produce their own clean home energy, and to save on their power bills.
“We believe sustainable energy is on its way to becoming a ‘must-have’ home appliance,” he says. “We specialise in branded, packaged whole home solutions, with an aim to not only reduce your energy bills, but eliminate them, helping you live free. Some clients even make money back by selling power back to the grid.”
