James is credited with expertise in business law and offers guidance on mergers and acquisitions, commercial litigation, corporation law and practice, commercial property, retail leasing and dispute resolution. James is a member of the LEADER mediation panel and the Small Business Commissioner panel.

James has been a member of the Courts Practice Committee of the Litigation Lawyers Section of the Law Institute of Victoria. He is the incumbent member of the Environmental Planning Liquor Sports Committee of the Law Institute.

George Spiliotis, another director of GSM Lawyers practices in the fields of employment law, employment contracts and unfair dismissals, commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
