The Cheesecake Shop use social media to launch Father's Day competition
The Cheesecake Shop desserts franchise is gearing up for Father’s Day by holding a competition, The Search for Australia’s Hottest Dad via their Facebook profile ending on 14 September.
The Search for Australia’s Hottest Dad competition is a strategy to promote their retail franchises through social media marketing.
Participants take a photo of their dad to upload to The Cheesecake Shop’s Facebook application. Entrants photographed eating one of the desserts franchises’ products have the chance to score a extra $1000 cash.
Participants can then vote and promote their dad for the chance to win from the desserts franchise’s $10,000 prize pool which contains electronics, Bunnings and The Cheesecake Shop vouchers.
The Cheesecake Shop has uploaded ‘Hints and Tips’ to their website to help contestants nab the prizes and also spread the word about the retail franchise.
Sharing the image with friends and inviting friends to vote is one tactic, while recruiting people through Facebook chat and followers through Twitter were some other suggestions from the cakes franchise.
