The Cheesecake Shop cake franchises announce brand new wedding cake range

Looking to expand on the range of cheesecakes, tortes and mudcakes available at their cake franchises, the Cheesecake Shop has recently announced that it will begin producing wedding cakes.

Test kitchen executive Lindsay Lee-Joe is the architect behind the designs of the Cheesecake Shop’s new wedding cakes, and seems to be just a excited about the development as customers surely will.

“I was so pleased when we took the decision to expand into wedding cakes,” she says. “I adore the sheer elegance of our new range of wedding cakes and I cannot wait to share them with the Australian public.”

With Cheesecake Shop cake franchises baking all of their cakes on site, the business is well structured to enter the wedding cake market.

Other national operators produce their cakes in a factory and then transport them by truck to local stores, so the alternative the Cheesecake Shop offers serves to reinforce the brand’s motto of “Made with Love.”

National marketing manager for Cheesecake Shop cake franchises, Peter Dable sees the progression as a natural, and potentially very profitable one for the company.

The Cheesecake Shop wedding cake range is available now in selected stores pending roll out nationally in September 2010.
