The Barry Plant Real Estate franchise’s property sales methods
Under the private sale method devised by the residential property services provider, the agent and the owner agree on a fixed price for the property. Interested parties are invited for discussion after a buyer has been identified. Yet another method is the sale by negotiation, which is similar to the private sale method. However, instead of fixing a price for a property, a price range is agreed upon by the agent and the owner. On negotiation, the highest possible price is fixed by the parties, which is followed by the settlement.
The Sale by Set Date method, developed exclusively by the real estate franchise, combines the best features of the traditional methods of private sale and auction. The property that is set for sale is marketed for more than four weeks and a deadline is set, by which potential buyers have to send in their best prices. This enables the seller to get the best price on the property. Finally, the auction method is also adopted by the residential property agent. In this method, the property is put for public sale at an advertised place and time. However, a property that has been advertised for auction can be sold before the auction if an offer that is acceptable to the buyer is received. 21.12.2007
