Survey reveals Hudsons Coffee franchisees are more satisfied than most
Results from a recent Franchisee Satisfaction Survey, conducted by independent research consultancy Franchise Relationships Institute, indicate that 95 per cent of Hudsons Coffee franchisees find running their store enjoyable, interesting, and satisfying.
The survey was commissioned by Hudsons Coffee franchise network and included anonymous responses from franchisees. The findings show that Hudsons Coffee scored above the industry benchmark in most areas, and outstanding scores in work satisfaction, financial performance and commitment to new store initiatives.
The key results provided by Hudsons Coffee franchisees signify that:
- 95% are very satisfied with running a Hudsons Coffee franchise store, well above the franchise industry benchmark of 72%
- 79% consider their business to be a financial success in comparison to the franchise industry average of 64%
- 72% believe their profits will grow even further
- 72% would buy a Hudsons Coffee franchise again if they had the choice in comparison with the industry benchmark which is 65%
“One of the main reasons people join a franchise system is to be a part of a larger entity that offers a support network and a sense of community. The results show Hudsons Coffee has a support network that really takes an interest in individual franchisees.”
“Other standout areas include work satisfaction and optimism, which rated higher than the industry benchmark. Optimism is an important scale because from our research it is strongly linked to franchisee success,” Ms Chatman said.
Ross Packham, Hudsons Coffee National Operations Manager said, “Conducting franchisee satisfaction surveys annually is imperative to validate the strategic plans for the company. It’s difficult to move forward unless you have an indication of how franchisees view the business.”
“Overall the survey results were fantastic with 95 per cent of franchisees stating they find working within a Hudsons Coffee store enjoyable, and a high percentage indicating they would recommend a Hudsons Coffee franchise to a potential franchisee, and if they had the opportunity they would buy the franchise again. It was also pleasing to see franchisees are highly satisfied with their financial performance compared to the industry benchmark given the financial climate and ‘GFC’ we experienced last year.”
“Conducting the survey wasn’t about patting ourselves on the back as a franchisor though. We wanted to determine where the opportunities were, and gain an understanding of how we can improve operations. The survey was great in identifying these areas, whilst at the same time gauging our franchisees contentment,” Mr Packham said.
Hudsons Coffee has a total of 32 franchisees and 66 coffee franchise stores nationally and plans to expand further in certain areas including business districts, airports, hospitals and regional areas.
