South Melbourne franchisee for Lonely Pets Club pet care franchises continues to grow her business

Elizabeth Quinn was the first franchisee to sign on with Lonely Pets Club pet care franchises, and ever since she says she has embraced the opportunity to dedicate her time to a job she loves.

Together with her sister Debra, Elizabeth services most of South Melbourne. The pair are both passionate about their work with Lonely Pets Club, explaining that the best part of their job is “spending time with the animals, spoiling them and treating them as if they are our own.”

With two pet care franchises already established, Elizabeth and Debra are looking to expand their business further. Their biggest challenge this year, they say, is to distance themselves from the day to day operation of the business to focus on this expansion.

Ensuring a sound business model is in place is key to this strategy, Elizabeth says.

She explains that “ensuring that you keep marketing the business all the time, while doing the pet care and dog walking, and having trustworthy and reliable carers in your team when you need them [is important].”

The support the pair have received from Lonely Pets Club head office, Elizabeth adds, has also encouraged them with their plans to expand their pet care franchises.

“The recognition from our franchisor to congratulate us on reaching our first $100k last year was very exciting and much appreciated” she confirms. “This has encouraged us to continue to grow our business and look forward to our third franchise in 2011.”
