ActionCOACH Business Coach Jeff Levin (from Indiana) recently explained, “all the most successful athletes have coaches. Tiger Woods has five to help him with his winning swings; success in the business world is no different.
“Many small business owners lack the tools they need to grow a company successfully. So many used to do a job for another company and thought they could do a better job than their boss. When they start their own business, they go into a mode where they build the job around them,” Levin explained. “However, they are now the CEO, and they need to act like a CEO. What I do is bring big business mentality to the small business owner.”
Levin is one of 1000+ ActionCOACH business coaches worldwide. The company, which bases its Global operations in Las Vegas, Nevada, was founded by Brad Sugars in Australia in 1993 as a seminar firm. The franchise system was launched in 1996.
Coaches are equipped with the company’s business strategies, which they use in turn to develop unique plans for each client. They also have access to each other’s expertise through the company’s coaching forum.
Levin is quick to point out that he is a coach, not a consultant — meaning he mentors and motivates his clients, but doesn’t do the work for them.
Once the coaching is complete, usually a process of at least 12 months, Levin said his clients will have the skills they need to continue to grow their businesses.
For Darrin Selking, president of Landscape Illumination in Valparaiso, IN, the services are a worthwhile investment. His company does outdoor landscaping, arch lighting and holiday lighting.
“We’re actually in a growth stage right now. Jeff helps with laying out business plans, financial plans, and sales and marketing strategies. Anything you can think of, he has a program or ideas that will benefit you,” Selking said. “It’s not only for businesses that are growing.
