Sales optimisation with business advice from the Business Geographics business
According to the Business Geographics business, identifying the key business drivers is the first and most important step in optimising sales. Towards this, the goals and objectives of the realignment process are identified. External and internal data sources that can be used in the territory optimisation are also identified. These are used in the development of the realignment criteria.
Among the business objectives that need to be identified at the very outset are creating equitable sales territories in terms of revenue and workload potential; improving customer service; increasing sales revenue; lifting the morale of the sales force; and providing efficient market coverage. The next step in the process, which involves evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses, includes looking for inequitable sales workloads, poorly aligned territories and travel inefficiencies. 21.12.2007
