The animal rearing franchise has extensively researched and developed its hatcheries and its breeds of chickens to be safe for children during hatching and to keep as pets.
The hatching process of the Henny Penny Hatching franchise utilises a Dome incubator which is safe for the chicks as well as the children and has 360degree viewing. The eggs provided in the hatchery are fumigated to ensure that they are completely free of germs. A total of 15 eggs are provided and the eggs hatch over a number of days. The animal rearing franchise also provides three day old chicks with the hatchery. The chicks are always provided in groups as they are social birds and require other birds to develop properly.
The Henny Penny Hatching franchise also provides a 3ft x 3ft brooding area to hold the young chickens. The brooding area has Perspex sides for easier viewing.
