Retail franchise Nutshack to get new chief
Nutshack , the Australian retail franchise selling nuts, confectionery and snack products, has appointed a new managing director, Tracy Steinwand.
Steinwand led the team that developed Subway's franchise opportunities in Australia, opening 1000 restaurants in Australia and New Zealand in less than 10 years with many outlets multi-franchised. She was also involved with other franchising brands including Healthy Habits and most recently Red Rooster.
Steinwand has a Masters of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management in Sydney and is a member of the Griffith University Business School Advisory Board in Brisbane.
Nutshack chairman Chris Langdon said current managing director Angus Parker's achievements on consolidating and improving the retailer's operations and business model had been undertaken during difficult economic times.
"Earlier this year, Angus gave notice of his desire for a change in direction and during this time we have carefully reviewed the business and have been looking for an experienced person such as Tracy to take leadership of the Nutshack brand," Langdon said.
Steinwand takes on her new role on 5 August.
