Queensland Department of State Development takes up services to improve businesses

Ms. Boyle remains as a minister for Queensland Department of State Development since 2004. The minister for the other services department has a strong track record as a champion of the regions of Queensland. According to the business services department, "Queensland's regions offer so many opportunities for sustainable growth that builds on the region’s particular advantages.

Ms Boyle is responsible for promoting the interests of small and large businesses; implementing the Smart State's Industries agenda; and the Bligh government's continuing commitment to Biotechnology and Knowledge-based Industries. In her prior role, Ms Boyle was a clinical and organisational psychologist before her election. She holds Master degrees in business administration and psychology.

Boyle’s achievement as the minister for Queensland Department of State Development includes leading the development of the One Chance at Childhood programme. The programme places emphasis on ensuring young children having a safe, stable and loving home in their vital early years.
