Pie Face Bakery Cafe opens 45th store, expands network of pie shop franchises

Having experienced a period of significant growth over the past twelve months, Pie Face Bakery Cafe has announced the opening of the 45th store in the company’s network of pie shop franchises.

Pie Face now has pie franchises in New South Wales, Queensland, the ACT and Victoria, mainly concentrated in high street CBD locations.

Chief Operating Officer Betty Fong confirms that the company has experienced a period of relatively rapid growth, commenting that "stores have been opening at around one per week for the last four to five months of 2010."

Pie Face CEO Wayne Homschek expects this growth rate to continue, with more pie shop franchises expected to open in the new year.

"With the addition of dedicated management for each step of the value chain (site acquisition and development, store design, build, and opening), we have a very strong pipeline of very high quality stores opening in 2011,” he says.
