Pacnet awarded Wholesale Operator of the Year

Pacnet  has been named Wholesaler Operator of the Year at the inaugural Asia Communication Awards 2011 that recognize and honour the achievements, innovations and outstanding new services of the region’s telecommunications service providers and executives.

“This award endorses our strategy of leveraging our unsurpassed subsea network coverage in Asia to deliver innovative, industry-leading wholesale network services packaged with class-leading service delivery, enabling carriers to build the resilient and redundant networks that are core to their business,” Bill Barney, Chief Executive Officer of Pacnet said at the event.

"We are extremely honoured to receive this award, which recognizes us as Asia's best in the wholesale telecommunications space."

The Asia Communications Awards were held as a sideshow to the CommunicAsia 2011, the region’s largest international communications and technology event.
Industry experts, analysts and editors from telecommunications trade publication, Total Telcom comprised the panel of judges that chose the winners.

The telecommunication service provider’s wholesale capacity services range from Indefeasible Rights of Use (IRUs) to private line networks and connects key locations in Asia across the Pacific Ocean through the ownership of 46,420km of fibre optic submarine infrastructure.
