New master franchisee for Anytime Fitness gym franchises in New Zealand

With 70 Anytime Fitness master franchisors Justin McDonell and Jacinta McDonell-Jiminez have announced the sale of the master franchise rights for the brand in New Zealand.

Kiwi local Richard Ball is now the master franchise operator for the gym franchises in New Zealand, and will operate a management support team based in Hamilton.

Justin and Jacinta have congratulated Richard and his team on the acquisition, citing a need to focus on developing the gym franchises in Australia as motivation for their decision to sell.

“As the number of clubs has increased, so has the support team,” Justin says. “Now is a critical time for us to focus on developing the Australian market, while giving the New Zealand market the opportunity to grow quicker with a strong local team.”
