New concept store in NSW latest addition to Bucking Bull roast and grill franchises

Bucking Bull has recently unveiled the latest addition to the company’s network of roast and grill franchises: a new concept store at Charlestown Square Shopping Centre.

The new store is a first for Bucking Bull, offering a back of house food court setup that incorporates significant alterations to the traditional design of the brand’s roast and grill franchises.

Bucking Bull Managing Director Dean Vella explains that traditional hot food front counter displays have been removed at the new store. The decision was made, he says, in order to provide customers with a more efficient service.

“We felt that trends had changed and operationally we could now deliver to the customer a fresher, hotter, better presented and importantly – faster – food option from our new back of house concept store,” he says.

In addition, Dean explains that the new design for the roast and grill franchises allows staff to better control wastage by eliminating the need to replace deteriorated display products, and assists in achieving a greater gross profit margin by improving portion control systems.

Average staff costs are also reduced at the new Charlestown Square store, Dean adds, as front counter staff no longer require training in food handling, allowing them to focus on customer services while qualified kitchen staff prepare meals.

The key brand elements of Bucking Bull roast and grill franchises will remain at the new store, with the new layout designed to enhance functionality. Five LCD monitors will showcase the brand’s home-style menu that includes:

• traditional roast meals
• all day hot breakfasts
• real burgers
• sandwiches; and
• spuds.
