New AllSafe Energy Efficient Products franchise store helps home owners to beat energy crisis

The opening of a new AllSafe Franchising Pty Ltd - AllSafe Energy Efficient Products store in Tweed Heads has been driven by the concern about escalating energy prices and a rapid increase in demand for environmentally sustainable products.

In NSW, electricity prices are expected to rise by as much as 100 per cent over the coming five years, with average users currently spending around $1,500 per year facing bills of up to $3,000 per year.

This has driven demand for energy saving solar hot water systems, along with a range of other energy efficient products including solar power, natural lighting and insulation products and ventilation systems.

At the moment, a rebate of $300 is offered by the government for a five star solar hot water system installed when replacing an existing electric hot water system. This rebate is additional to the $1,000 Federal rebate.

"Water heating is the biggest energy user in NSW homes," says John.

"By switching from an electric to a climate-friendly hot water system you can save an average of 2.5 tonnes of carbon pollution each year and up to $300 on your power bills – plus the rebates."

Sean Cochrane, Managing Director at the energy efficient product retails franchise network explained that the green sector was currently growing at around 70% per year.

"It’s proving an amazingly popular sector for business people interested in taking out a franchise because many people feel this is the only growth sector right now and is likely to be for many years to come," he says.
