National community fund established at EmbroidMe retail franchises
The EmbroidMe network of retail franchises has announced a new community fund to support not for profit groups across Australia.
By offering a central fund and inviting applications from a wide range of community programmes, charities, clubs and schools, EmbroidMe aims to alleviate some of the increased financial pressure on the sector since the GFC.
The contributing Australian EmbroidMe retail franchises will offer their business services through donations of apparel, custom embroidery and garment printing as well as self-promotional and fund-raising items at partial or no cost.
The contributions will be funded from profits, and varying levels of support will be available, from 100% of the cost to 50% dependent on need and funding availability.
EmbroidMe invites applications before September 30th, 2010. Recipients of grants will be advised before 31st October, 2010 via personal contact from EmbroidMe.
With 33 EmbroidMe retail franchises across the country taking part, the EmbroidMe Community Fund aims to deliver a fair means of assessment and distribution to needy causes that could use a little extra help to raise awareness of their organisation and get noticed.
