Moonee Ponds Kwik Kopy takes out Franchisee of the Year Award

Moonee Ponds Kwik Kopy Design and Printing franchise owner, Mike Beuermann has been named the Australian Franchisee of the Year 2010 at the annual Kwik Kopy Australian conference in the Barossa Valley.

“In a few short years Mike has created one of the most successful and admired businesses in the system,” said David Bell, Managing Director of Kwik Kopy Australia.

“He has a strong focus on his clients and has developed particularly strong relationships with them.

“As a result, in five years he has added $1M to his business,” he said.

The accolade, judged by senior management, is awarded to Kwik Kopy's design and printing franchises on the criteria of meeting or exceeding selected key performance indicators (KPIs) including production efficiency, profitability, profit growth, sales and sales growth.

“A great deal of effort goes into selecting the winning Centre.

“To even be considered for the award the Centre's performance figures must be at the cutting edge.

“After that we look for a franchisee's contribution to the Kwik Kopy franchise as a whole,” Bell said.

Qualitative measures also dictate the winner and include the franchisees contribution to the franchise system, their relations with other franchisees, charitable works and participation in Kwik Kopy events.

Beuermann was extremely humbled by the award which he said was a testament to his team and Kwik Kopy’s franchise system. He said the achievement was the biggest highlight in a career that has included senior roles in the transport industry and a previous position as CEO of Advanced Hair Studios.

“The Kwik Kopy Australia franchisor is financially very stable, considered in its approach and strongly focused on profit.

“The constant support and advice I have received has been crucial to the success of my Centre,” he said.

The Moonee Ponds design and printing franchise is also a member of Kwik Kopy’s Australia’s performance groups which have up to eight member franchisees who confer quarterly to benchmark and compare financial performance and the franchise network as a whole.
