Metro Modelling Academy’s Adam Barralet to head to Ormoc, Philippines
In conjunction with TCF Global Community Sewing Projects, Metro Modelling Academy 's Adam Barralet will be travelling to Ormoc in the Philippines to run modelling, and confidence workshops with local youth. The trip is made possible due to the generous donation of NorAsian Energy Limited, a subsidiary of Otto Energy Limited, a Perth based Oil & Gas Company.
The modelling project will showcase the garment designs from the many women and youth involved in the TCF Ormoc community sewing project, established by TCFWA in 2007 where now there are over 22 Community Livelihood Centres operating to help women start their own sewing business. A 40ft container of donated sewing items was shipped to Ormoc through the generous donations from the WA community, Rotary Club of Matilda Bay, Belmont & Joondalup & WA BPW Clubs, Soroptimists Karratha, TCFWA, Belmont BEC and the designedge fashion incubator.
