Mascot for Lenard’s chicken franchises to compete in 2010 Mix 94.5 Perth Grand Mascot Race

The third annual Mix 94.5 Grand Mascot Race will be held this weekend in Perth, and the mascot for Lenard's chicken franchises, Lenny the Rocking Rooster, is “ready and raring” to give the competition a run for their money.

The race will take place at the Chris Mainwaring Legends Match at Subiaco Oval in Perth on Saturday 9th October.

Lenny is outspoken as to his chances in the race, saying that “those other mascots are going to have some tough competition on their hands. I’m a towering 2.2 metres of the best fresh chicken, with 200 pounds of tender fillet and strong thighs and I can travel at the break-beak speed of 14.5 km per hour!”

In order for Lenny the Rocking Rooster to compete in the event, Lenard’s chicken franchises donated $1000 towards Telethon, a registered charity dedicated to raising funds to improve the lives of young people throughout Western Australia.

The annual Grand Mascot race is becoming quite a significant event in Perth, with 44 mascots racing their way across Subiaco Oval last year in front of a crowd of 30,000 people.

• Bendigo Bank’s Piggy
• Red Rooster’s Gottabee Red
• Domino’s Pepperoni Pete
• ANZ’s Kevin the ATM; and
• Raine & Horne’s Busy B.
