Mad Mex reaches WA reaches the Australian west coast at Hilarys Boat Harbour

Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill will be soon opening their first west coast Mexican restaurant franchise at the popular Hilarys Boat Harbour on Tuesday 22 November, 2011.

With currently 13 established restaurants on the east coast of Australia, Mad Mex is set to bring their Mexican franchises to Perth.

“The opening of our first west coast restaurant this month is truly a milestone for Mad Mex,” says founder Clovis Young.

“This month it is four years since we opened the first restaurant in Sydney and what a thrilling way to mark that with our reach now spanning right across Australia.”

The Australian west coast expansion follows after Mexican restaurant franchises’ rapid growth with Hilary’s opening becoming the fourth store to open since June 2011. Mad Mex also plans to open at least one more east coast restaurant before Christmas.

Clovis Young, a former Wall Street trader from California, had relocated to Australia and noticed a gap in the market for authentic Mexican cuisine. Growing up with the cuisine, Young recognised its fresh and healthy attributes would connect well with the Australian landscape.

Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill offers a Baja-California inspired menu range of fresh and healthy burritos, tacos, nachos, which reflect the bold flavours of Mexico and the healthiness of California. The menu also includes tailored children’s items, desserts and vegetarian and gluten options.

The opening of Hilary’s Mad Mex restaurant, on 22 Tuesday November 2011, will give west coast locals the ideal healthy food option, especially with swimsuit season just around the corner.
