Mad Mex opens with star-studded NRL line-up

The opening of the latest Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill in Penrith was a celebrity affair with the Penrith Panthers NRL Club making a special appearance at the Mexican restaurant franchise in a show of support for the new addition to Penrith’s restaurant district on Riley Street.

“We were really thrilled to have the players here to celebrate the new restaurant opening.

“They’re big stars with fans all over Australia and massively popular in the area so there were plenty of guests wanting to get their photo with them and a lot of fans noticing them in the restaurant from outside,” said Mad Mex founder, Clovis Young.

Sandor Earl, Tim Grant and Adrian Purtell were among the star-studded line-up along with 200 guests from the local business community, corporate guests and media.

The footballers posed for photos with guests and staff as they tucked into the Mexican restaurant franchise’s burritos and donned Mexican Luchador masks to get into the spirit of the evening.
