Mad Mex Harbourside breaks its own record sales
Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill ’s new Harbourside location has broken its record opening day sales by 168% of the previous best opening day. The opening of the Mexican franchise saw over 1,000 local Pyrmont residents trying Mad Mex’s Baja-Californian cuisine.
“With over 1 250 meals served and 50 litres of our new frozen Margarita sold, Pyrmont residents welcomed Mad Mex with open arms. Social media was a buzz with photo’s flooding in on Twitter and the queues were out the door and on to the street. We could not be happier,” said Clovis Young, Founder Mad Mex Mexican franchises.
“Despite the worst retail environment in several decades Mad Mex’s success proves that innovative concepts which provide exceptional value and a strong point of difference can achieve extraordinary results.”
Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill was one of a group of national flagship food brands that was chosen by the Harbourside centre to be part of the complex’s project to reinvigorate and redevelop its image with tourists and local residents.
The Mad Mex Mexican restaurant franchise is located at the Pyrmont Bridge entrance and sits directly opposite burger brand Grill’d. Despite being moved from the central food court, Mad Mex has proven its ability to capture passing traffic, especially with their opening record breaking sales.
“The level 3 Fresh Food Precinct at the Pyrmont Bridge side of Harbourside Shopping Centre has historically under delivered in range and quality, however the centre is now committed to a compelling offer, and sought after Mad Mex to sit across from Grill’d Burgers,” said Young.
“Mad Mex was chosen to provide an authentic Mexican option that is quick, healthy and affordable to service the strong flow of passing commuter and tourist foot traffic that use the Pyrmont bridge to commute to the city.”
Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill offers customers a ‘fast casual’ dining experience that has been proven popular through tougher economic times. Since opening its first restaurant in 2007, Mad Mex currently has 15 Mexican franchises nationally and has been a significant player in Australia’s Mexican food market.
