La Porchetta Salmanca Franchisee Wins Franchisee of the Year Award

La Porchetta ’s Salamanca Franchisee has been awarded the Franchisee of the Year Award 2011, which was up against more than 70 restaurants nationally.

The Franchisee of the Year award recognises franchises that provide excellence in quality and presentation, customer service and best practise as well as satisfying other criteria.

“I didn’t think we would be in the running and it came out of the blue,” says Tony Kent, owner of La Porchetta Salamanca, who was surprised and delighted when his restaurant was announced as the winner.

“Our managers and staff really have to take much of the credit because they do such a great job. Everyone works hard and the kitchen staff do an amazing job on really busy nights getting good quality meals to lots of people quickly and efficiently.”

La Porchetta are popular family restaurant franchises that have built their reputation on value meals with quick and friendly services. The Italian cuisine franchises’ menu consists of traditional pizzas, pasta, risottos, main courses and salads, as well as sweets. All dishes are freshly prepared on the premises and only use the finest ingredients, including sun-drenched tomatoes grown in Italy.

“Our main goal has always been to see every customer leave the restaurant happy and we’ve built our entire business around that philosophy. We have regular staff meetings and incentives and that helps everyone have a sense of ownership of the business. Every staff member strives to make sure our customers are satisfied,” says Kent.
