Introducing Joel Farrall, Mobile Skips newest franchisee
Mobile Skips is pleased to introduce their newest franchisee, Joel Farrall who joins the Mobile Skips franchise network with his Southern Melbourne territory.
As a kid Farrall remembers going to the tip with his father. Everyone would pile into the car to see what they could find there. It was these experiences that made him quickly realise that people throw out all kinds of things, from the broken to the valuable, and that everyone creates waste.
Farrall's first job after school was demolishing a local youth centre to make way for a new one, so right from the start, disposal was part of his life. For the last seven to eight years Farrall has worked in and around the Melbourne transport industry, and in 2006 he moved into his own scrap metal recycling and site clean up business with extensive contracts with Calder Park Raceway and the Old Werribee Lion Park.
It was record low price of steel, the economic crash of 2008 and China no longer needing recycled steel from Australia that led Farrall to shut up shop and move onto a small stint in the natural gas delivery industry.
What Farrall was really looking for was something to sink his teeth into which made the most of his experience and would give him something more long term. Enter Mobile Skips and their great home services franchise opportunities.
Farrall met the owners of Mobile Skips in early January of 2011 and started work straight away. He quickly realised the opportunity he had found; a growing business where he was well received by customers every day.
From there, Farrall inquired about buying into the company as a Mobile Skips franchisee, and after securing some finance he became the proud owner of the South Eastern Suburbs territory in Melbourne on 1st September 2011.
Farrall's Mobile Skips franchise covers all Bayside suburbs so chances are those booking a skip from Mobile Skips in that area will see him towing one of his mobile skips down the street!
