Operating a Telcoinabox telecommunications franchise allowed father and daughter team, Peter and Jess Goodear, the opportunity to develop their small, family-based business within the larger framework of a proven franchise system, and reap the benefits of both.

“We wanted a white-label franchise system so we could use our own existing brand and align the Telco business with our other company,” Peter said about integrating his company, Inspired Communications into the Telcoinabox franchise system.

Working from their offices in Blackrock, Victoria, Peter and Jess realised they were competing in a tough market and wanted to differentiate their products from other service providers.

“Whilst every business and individual needs telecommunications services, there are some serious market leaders and we needed to ensure that being an unknown brand wasn’t going to work against us.

“We had to come up with a strategy for differentiating ourselves from the big boys of the Telco world,” Peter said.

Since launching the business in January 2008, the father-daughter team have been working on expanding their business within Telcoinabox’s franchise system, all the while learning about a different industry sector and increasing sales and other skills.

“The industry, products and services are complicated.

“Dream big, but realise that you have to crawl before you can walk, or run,” Peter advises.
