ICMI welcomes former MP, Lindsay Tanner into the fold

Events management company, ICMI Speakers & Entertainers has welcomed former MP, Lindsay Tanner, into their circle of popular speakers to be available to clients as a corporate sector consultant and give keynote addresses.

The accomplished former Minister for Finance and Deregulation during the Rudd-Gillard governments also held the seat for Melbourne from 1933 to 2010 under the Australian Labour Party.

As well as joining ICMI’s events management team, Tanner currently works for Lazard, a company that deals with mergers, acquisitions, restructures and capital raising, as a special advisor and also as a an Adjunct Professor and Vice –Chancellor’s Fellow at Victoria University.

His latest book title, ‘Sideshow – Dumbing Down Democracy’, is one of four influential books dealing with economic and political issues.

Years in Cabinet and dealing with foreign governments has led to expertise beyond the domestic, economic and political arena. Tanner is well versed in the inner workings of international and domestic governments and has loyal connections and strategic insights into overseas governments and corporations.

From verified, bureaucratic protocol to recognising the subtle nuances of a marketplace or overcoming the challenge of cultural disparity, Tanner will be an invaluable member of the events management team, with the experience and knowledge to ensure he makes a unique contribution to ICMI’s client's events.
