Australian company Hire A Hubby has announced aggressive growth plans on the back of one of its most successful trading periods since 2000, said CEO Brendan Green. "We are enjoying unprecedented growth in the domestic market for general handyman services and are starting to see the benefits of investment in growth strategies from the commercial sector."

The business has grown from its household beginnings to operate within the facilities management, retail, strata and real estate sectors. "Demand from the domestic sector for our handyman services increased nearly 10% over the past year. Similarly demand from the commercial sector increased by 300%. Indications are that this growth trend will continue into and past 2008."

While Green attributed the strong domestic growth to a buoyant job market and changing demographics the alignment with tv personality Scott Cam as the brand's ambassador is seen as logical step in attracting appropriate franchisees to the network.

Green added that Australian expansion is a precursor to international expansion.
