Gutter-Vac gutter cleaning franchises look to expand into US market

After investigating opportunities in foreign markets for the last two years, Gutter-Vac has sent a representative to California to look at establishing its gutter cleaning franchises in the United States.

With 47 maintenance franchises now in operation across Australia, Gutter-Vac Managing Director Warren Ballantyne says that the company decided that 2011 was the year to take the brand international.

“We spent a long time considering whether to expand internationally or not,” he explains. “But after a lot of investigation we have discovered that there is no systemised franchise like Gutter-Vac anywhere else in the world, so the time was right to expand and show the world how good our services really are.”

Gutter-Vac General Counsel Gillian Harper has been sent to West Hollywood, California, to set up a company operation, and ready the business model behind the maintenance franchises for sale in the US market.

She is currently working closely with US attorneys, consultants, auditors and advisors to ensure the Gutter-Vac system complies with the complicated web of US rules and regulations, and has the best chance of success.

Gillian reports that “all feedback to date has been extremely positive and we hope to have our first franchise on the ground by the end of the year. We are looking forward to a great 2011.”
