GreenBizCheck business consulting franchises recognised for contribution to Brisbane’s CitySmart program

The Lord Mayor of Brisbane, Campbell Newman, recently awarded GreenBizCheck ’s Managing Director Nicholas Bernhardt with a plaque in recognition of the principal partnership between the business consulting franchises and Brisbane’s CitySmart program.

The CitySmart program was created by Brisbane City Council with a view to making Brisbane Australia’s most sustainable city.

GreenBizCheck business consulting franchises and CitySmart have been working with businesses, industry, government and the community to reduce carbon emissions in the city, and aim to make Brisbane carbon neutral by 2026.

DLA Phillips Fox was one of the first businesses to sign on with the program. In a recent case study on the law firm’s offices, an electricity reduction of 38%, and a 20% consumables saving were recorded over a six month period, saving the company thousands of dollars
