Government announce plans for Cyber White Pages to protect intellectual property
The Australian Government has announced they will develop the first Cyber White Paper considering a variety of issues in relation to cyber security and the strategies businesses should take to avoid cyber terrorism. Franchise consultants, Mason Sier Turnbull advise companies that now is the time to act in regards to preparing counter-measures to cyber attacks.
Protection of intellectual property is becoming more challenging in a cyber environment which is increasingly vulnerable to attack and companies spend millions of dollars and years investing in and developing their intellectual property portfolios.
In light of recent cyber attacks resulting in the theft of important business intellectual property, Mason Sier Turnbull recommend that every business reliant on computer technology should give urgent attention to safeguarding their intellectual property against potential threats.
Attorney-General Robert McClelland has stated that the Cyber White Paper, due for release in the second half of 2012, will encompass a broad range of areas and look at the role of businesses, government, industry and the public in protecting information and interests.
