Franchise Mart launches
Gareth Grant, director, explained the focus of the business is to offer a service that links potential franchisees with suitable franchisors, at no cost to the client. Educating the customer about benefits and risks in franchising is part of the consultancy package.
The showroom combines videos, internet facilities, computer workstations, brochures and seminars with individual assistance, and conference rooms equipped for viewing franchisor concepts.
Once a client has reviewed a handful of franchises, the chosen business is contacted and Franchise Mart continues as a go-between. But this is not a brokerage, Grant said. "We don't close the deal. We like to think that ethically we are doing the right thing. We can address issues that wouldn't otherwise come up."
Strategic partners will provide legal, accounting and insurance advice to interested clients.
Plans to develop the street level advisory service includes franchising, if the appropriate opportunities emerge.
