Fastway Couriers unveils new interactive packaging delivery service

Fastway Couriers have unveiled a new range of ‘interactive’ delivery satchels, to be dispatched to customers around Australia from February 2012.

"Our new satchels feature a range of intelligent design elements, combined with imagery that speaks to online retailers. Together, they'll complement our focus on becoming the courier service provider of choice for Australian e-tailers,” said CEO Richard Thame.

"Our updated packaging is designed to fit the top five products purchased online: books, DVDs and CDs, iPods, accessories and cosmetics.”

Thame says the new-look design has been adopted to reflect the courier brand’s new image and strategy, which was announced in November 2011. The satchels are available in a range of sizes and delivery variables included A3 Local, A2 National and A5 National.

“We understand that for many online retailers, price is a major selling point. In the online space, competition is fierce and margins are slim. This is why we've competitively priced our new satchels, which now present one of the most cost effective ways to transport goods from A to B within Australia," says Thame.

According to Thame, the new delivery satchels will also be “more interactive” than ever before.

"In addition to the updated design and layout, every satchel will feature a QR code on the reverse side.  Scanning the code with a web-enabled device will automatically redirect the recipient to Fastway's mobile website for an obligation-free freight quote.  It's a simple, yet effective way of promoting Fastway's satchel offering," says Thame.

QR scanning software can be downloaded for free from the Apple store or the Android market.
