EmbroidMe retail franchises supply not-for-profit Manna Industries with free promotional products
As part of its Community Fund program, EmbroidMe retail franchises have been supplying a range of not-for-profit groups with more than $25,000 in promotional products.
Manna Industries is the latest beneficiary of the campaign. Founder Bev Lowe says she was thrilled to receive a pile of gear for her volunteers to wear from the Claremont EmbroidMe retail franchise.
“They gave us 103 caps, 50 aprons and 170 T-Shirts,” she explains. “We’re very grateful and could never have afforded to get all this done.”
Bev started Manna Industries with her husband John 14 years ago when she saw a group of homeless people in an inner city park and was drawn to help them out by making them some soup.
The not-for-profit now boasts 200 volunteers who help to feed more than 2,000 people on a weekly basis, with people coming from all over Perth to enjoy a decent, free, three course meal.
Co-owner of EmbroidMe Claremont, Elizabeth Bain, says she is delighted that Manna is now fully kitted out, adding that “they are really deserving – they make the highest contribution of any not-for-profit across the country.”
Through its network of promotional franchises the EmbroidMe Community Fund has given out more than 40 grants nationally this year.
