Leading retail bookstore franchise, Dymocks , will be celebrating World Booklover Day on 9 August 2012 by offering its fans a chance to speak directly with bestselling and popular authors on Dymock's facebook page.

World Booklover Day is a celebration of the love of reading and highlights how books educate, inform, inspire and enrich lives.


Fans who purchase any book on the day will be rewarded with double reward points, courtesy of Dymock's rewards program.

Dymocks has previously held successful Facebook Author Chats with renowned children’s author, Christopher Paolini, celebrity trainer Tiffany Hall, MasterChef winner Kate Bracks, and other popular authors including Tara Moss, Matthew Reilly and many more. 

6 August 2012, 4 - 5pm, Liane Moriarty
Australian author, Liane Moriarty is a four-time international best-selling author, with her popular novels Three Wishes, The Last Anniversary, What Alice Forgot and The Hypnotist's Love Story, sold throughout Europe and America. Writing as L.M. Moriarty, she is also the author of the Space Brigade books for children.  

7 August 2012, 4 - 5pm, Andy Griffiths 
One of Australia’s most popular children’s writers, Andy Griffiths, has sold over five million books worldwide and has been featured on the New York Times bestsellers lists. With over 40 Australian Children’s Choice Awards to his name, Griffiths is passionate about developing children’s reading and writing abilities and has partnered with Dymocks to hold various competitions to showcase the creativity of young writers and artists across Australia. 

8 August 2012, 4 - 5pm, Greg Barron
Northern NSW author, Greg Barron, will be discussing his first novel, Rotten Gods, on Wednesday 8 August. Released earlier this month, Barron’s book explores a new wave of terror that threatens a world torn by inequality, conflict, economic disaster, and environmental chaos. Both an imaginative tour de force and a dire warning, Rotten Gods, holds the reader spellbound until the last breathtaking page.  

9 August 2012, 4 - 5pm, Peter Kuruvita 
Renowned celebrity chef from Flying Fish restaurant, Peter Kurivita, discovered his passion for cooking as a child in Sri Lanka, where he spent many happy hours in the kitchen watching his grandmother prepare ancient family recipes. His idyllic memories of this time inspired his recent cookbook Serendip, a rich collection of Sri Lankan recipes, memories, and a photographical insight into the culture and beauty of the unique island nation.  

10 August 2012, 2 - 3pm, Annabel Langbein 
New Zealander cook, author and TV presenter for The Free Range Cook, Annabel Landbein, shows how to bring good food into today's fast-paced world.
