Create an interest for chess among children with the Chess Kids franchise
The Chess Kids franchise provides chess services and products to a number of schools and clubs in Australia and works with individuals of varying ages and levels of chess proficiency. However, the education and training franchise has been involved for the most part in the provision of educational and recreational chess programs to schools. These programs have been developed by the child education franchise to stimulate and encourage young children to develop a love for the game.
Apart from the numerous regular recreational and educational programs conducted at schools, Chess Kids also conducts special programs called “School Incursions”. These incursions particularly benefit schools that lie beyond the CBD and can serve the purpose of either introducing the entire school to chess or providing master classes to the students.
An incursion will ideally begin with a session of theory on particular topics of chess (a minimum of three). The session is conducted by an experienced and qualified coach and the topics are selected from within the education and training franchise’s curriculum, such as chess fundamentals, openings, endgames, tactics, famous players, strategy, piece power, gambits, sacrifices, lateral thinking, problem solving, visualisation, pawn structure, concentration, cornering the king and open files, among others.
A Chess Kids’ School incursion is an excellent way to create an interest for chess among students.
