Cold Rock Ice Creamery partners with Charlie’s Cookies
Cold Rock Ice Creamery has partnered with Melbourne-based cookie producer, Charlie’s Cookies, to offer new cookie dough mix-ins in their range of desserts franchises.
As part of the partnership, Charlie’s Cookies will be supplying Cold Rock ice cream franchises with around 50,000kg of cookie dough each year. Cold Rock stores can now offer customers two flavours of cookie dough with rainbow chock chip and standard choc chip.
“Cookie dough is one of Cold Rock’s most popular mix ins and now our offering is better than ever,” said Cold Rock Managing Director, Stan Gordon.
“Charlie’s is an Australian-owned company and a growing brand which is renowned for their delectable gourmet treats. This partnership means our franchisees no longer have to make cooking dough in store, and our customers have access to the best tasting, gourmet cookie dough around.”
Ken Mahlab and Jacky Magid, the husband-and-wife team that own Charlie’s Cookies, said they were delighted to be the new cookie dough supplier to Cold Rock Ice Creamery.
“We are thrilled to be working with a major ice cream retailer and to further show off our new cookie dough products nationwide,” said Mahlab.
Established in 1995, Charlie’s Cookies produces cookies for retail and food service customers across Australia including Woolworths, Thomas Dux. The cookie producers also supply snacks on domestic flights with Qantas.
According to Mahlab, the partnership struck when Mahlab met Gordon at a car park.
“Stan was eyeing up my Smart Car and I offered to swap my car for Stan's, a far more luxurious vehicle,” said Mahlab.
“A conversation ensued and the rest is history. We look forward to a long and happy partnership with Cold Rock.”
Cold Rock Ice Creamery is one of Australia’s biggest ice cream franchises with almost 100 stores nationwide.
