Caltex Star Mart convenience retail franchise named Major Retailer of the Year for 2011

Caltex Star Mart  was recently recognised as the leading convenience retail franchise in Australia by the Australasian Association of Convenience Stores (AACS).

Held in Sydney on 24 August 2011, Caltex Star Mart dominated the annual AACS Awards, winning the following three titles:

• Retail Store of the Year (Company Operated) - Caltex Star Mart Kingsford, NSW (Mustafa Ghulam, Calstores Store Manager)
• Retail Store of the Year (Franchise Operated) - Caltex Star Mart Hamilton, NSW (Reinhard & Suzannah Bolsius, Franchisees)
• Major Retailer of the Year 2011 - Caltex Star Mart.

Caltex National Manager Retail, Leo Pucar, says it was an exceptional achievement to win in the three categories.

"The awards are testament to the ongoing passion and dedication of our people and franchisees who are committed to following our rule of 'Getting it Right!' for our customers," says Pucar.

Caltex's General Manager Marketing, Andy Walz, congratulated Pucar and the Caltex Star Mart convenience retail franchise team on their recognition in the industry's premier awards event.

"I'm proud of the team's achievement - this is the fourth year in a row that we have won franchise store of the year and the third time in four years that we have won company store of the year," says Walz.

Caltex Star Mart continues to be the number one convenience retail franchise in Australia, with over 630 stores nationwide.
