Cafe2U franchise defy the trend in retail decline
Fastest growing mobile coffee franchise, Cafe2U , continues its pronounced growth around the country, and currently operates franchises in Maitland and Lakelands. Cafe2U has announced it is looking to increase its franchise base in the Newcastle area.
As statistics indicate potential investors are shying away from buying traditional retail businesses, mobile businesses that allow owners to pursue customers are proving a viable alternative. With 121 franchises in Australia and plans to expand further into city and regional areas, Cafe2U is quickly proving that market statistics are only making them stronger.
In addition, there are almost 60 franchises in the UK including Scotland, Ireland and Wales and 3 in their new market, the United States. Cafe2U has also recently established country master licenses in Germany and South Africa which are due to launch later this year.
"Mobile businesses similar to Cafe2U are thriving because we bring the service directly to the customer. This enables the customer greater flexibility and convenience as we come to them, instead of them going out of their way to a fixed location," says Cafe2U Managing Director Derek Black.
"They offer a chance to work outdoors and are a lifestyle consideration. Newcastle offers a wonderful lifestyle change itself so we expect non-local as well as local investors to look at this opportunity. Not everybody wants to be stuck inside or desk-bound so a business like ours is a great alternative, particularly for the more suburban areas of Australia," he explains.
Black said the demand for franchises on the Central Coast underlined the competition for territories.
"With four franchises operating close by on the Central Coast, there are no vacancies remaining there at this current point for further franchisees," he says.
Franchises for Sale - Cafe2U has ace up its sleeve
While growing the franchise further in Newcastle is a priority, Cafe2U also has franchises for sale in the Taree, Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour districts.
To attract new franchisees, cold calling and sourcing new customers is taken care of by Cafe2U courtesy of its unique Acceleration Package.
The Acceleration Package provides support to achieve a sustainable, minimum turnover of $500 a day and provides new franchise partners with an income guarantee of $2500 a week for the first two weeks of business.
Mobile coffee franchises making its mark in the industry
2012 marks the fourth consecutive year that Cafe2U has been listed as one of BRW Magazine’s Fast Franchises. Of particular significance is the fact that for the past two years, Cafe2U has been Australia’s fastest growing coffee franchise.
