Cafe2U awards top mobile coffee franchises at National Leadership Conference

Franchise partners from across Australia flew to Queensland’s Gold Coast last week to attend the second Cafe2U National Leadership Conference, where the company recognised its top performing mobile coffee franchises.

Held on the water’s edge at Dolphin Cove in Sea World, franchise partners were entertained during a gala dinner by their own private dolphin show, which even included some lucky attendees being given the opportunity to swim with the dolphins and be part of the show.

Franchisees gathered to share new business ideas, new techniques and some unique coffee experiences from their time as members of the network of mobile coffee franchises.

Kenwick - Maddington franchisees Andrew and Mandy Lynch took the major prize on the night, being announced as Cafe2U's 2010 Franchisee of the Year award winners.

Cafe2U Chairman Andy Simpkin explains that the Western Australian couple were selected for their dedication to developing and adapting their business to meet the needs of their clients.

“Andrew and Mandy understand the power of Cafe2U brand and leverage it at all opportunities, while still being able to be perceived as local business owners and gaining customer loyalty,” he comments.

Individual state awards were also announced at the conference, with the most notable mobile coffee franchises from each recognised for their dedication to the Cafe2U brand.

Michael Dolahenty from Cromer received the NSW state prize. Renowned as Cafe2U’s 100th franchisee, Mr Simpkin notes that Michael’s win “is actually a remarkable result since he only started his business twelve months ago.”

Other state award winners included:

• Rob Clark from Regency Park, South Australia (for the second year running)
• Michelle Harper from Townsville, Queensland; and
• Oleg Vaksman from Cheltenham, Victoria.
