Bakers Club wins Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards 2011
The Bakers Club has won their 4th award with the Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards 2011 in Manufacturing and Construction. The award was for the Bakers Club efficient logistics to eliminate night work for their bakers while providing the freshest baked goods to their customers in minimum time.
“We are extremely proud of this awards as it recognises the fact we have eliminated the night work for bakers, have extremely efficient logistics, and most importantly, the shortest way to freshness directly from the oven to the customer,” says Christian Coenen, co-founder of Bakers Club.
“This means you can come into our store in the afternoon and still find us baking with hot bread, rolls and cakes coming out of our ovens. The stone oven also gives a slower baking, which results in lovely light, crispy crusts.”
The bakery franchises are also taking initiative to eliminate the need for baking at night by developing an innovative process that enables them to bake during the day, all day.
With over 150 years and six generations of European baking tradition, the Bakers Club began five years ago with their first store at Ashmore, Queensland. The Bakers Club has now grown to seven stores in South East Queensland, including franchised and company owned stores. The latest editions of the Bakers Club include the Brisbane Airport Village and the Bakers Club Drive-through in Jimboomba.
“All our breads are made from all the natural goodness of traditional ingredients, including wholegrains and sourdoughs, are preservative free, full of flavour, delicious and healthy,” says Coenen.
“We are the only bakery in Australia who is able to bake fresh gluten bread daily in our ovens in front of your eyes. We constantly receive emails from our customers praising the quality of our gluten free and European brands.”
